Sugar & Ethanol 3-Year Price Forecasting Service
This service presents forecasts of the world market prices of ethanol (basis f.o.b. Santos, Brazil) and raw sugar (No.11 equivalent basis) over the next three years. Forecasts are provided by quarter giving price forecasts 12 quarters ahead.
The report also assesses the sensitivity of our central price projections to:
- Movements in Brazil’s exchange rate, which have a profound impact on the dollar prices of ethanol and sugar.
- Potential changes to the price of Brazilian gasoline based on its prevailing level in relation to world oil.
Each quarter, subscribers receive a report that provides:
- Quarterly projections of the world raw sugar price (on a No.11 equivalent basis), as well as the world ethanol price (basis f.o.b. Santos, Brazil), for the next three years (12 quarters in total).
- The basis for our price forecasts using our analysis of the relationship between oil, gasoline, ethanol and sugar. Clear reasons are provided for the behaviour of prices at each stage of the chain, supported by a series of tables and diagrams.
- Forecasts of Brazilian cane, sugar and ethanol output for the next three crop years.
- The world sugar supply/demand balance for the next three seasons and its implications for Brazilian production and exports.
- Projected demand for Brazilian ethanol (domestic and export) and its implications for the domestic market balance and the discount of ethanol prices to gasoline.
