Outlook for Synthetic & Natural Rubbers 2010 Report

Rubber markets, synthetic and natural, have rebounded at an unlikely pace from the precipitous falls that accompanied the global economic downturn. But the turbulence of the past two years and the continuing uncertainty over the extent of any global economic recovery means that many questions remain about the medium to long-term outlook for the elastomers markets.

LMC's annual report offers the short, medium and long-term outlook for Polybutadiene, sSBR, eSBR, IR and Natural Rubber. It presents annual forecasts to 2020 of the supply, demand and price/unit values  for each elastomer, globally, for each major individual country market and region, and by end-use type.
  • Demand for each rubber by the tyre industry and by the general rubber goods industries, broken down by major application
  • Supply of eSBR, sSBR, BR and polyisoprene , globally, broken down by producing region
  • NR production of the 6 major producers and other, traditional and emerging producers
  • Prices of NR, styrene, butadiene, SBR and polybutadiene
  • Trade flows of each rubber to 2009.
The report draws not only on LMC’s close contacts with NR and SR producers, consumers and associations built up over decades of research into the sector, but also on our extensive work for the global tyre industry. Reports such as LMC’s World Tyre Forecast Service, published every year, ensure that we are constantly up-to-date with market developments.
